Welcome to "Shoj travel"
Dear viewers, I am with you BM Belal. Today I am going to share with you the detailed information about Jaflong in Sylhet, a popular tourist destination in Bangladesh.
Jaflong
Jaflong is located in Gowainghat upazila of Sylhet district in Bangladesh, 72 km northeast of Sylhet city, at the foot of the Khasia-Jainta hills bordering the Meghalaya border of India. Khasia Jainta hill on the other side, river on the other side. Fountains flow through the heart of the mountain, and pebbles of various colors arranged in layers on the chest of the river. Seen from a distance, it would seem that the mountains are leaning against the sky. The clouds are floating on the mountain like softening. Where else can you find this amazing beauty of nature, except Jaflong?
Jaflong of Sylhet is known all over the country as the daughter of nature. The piled stone piles on the banks of the Piain River have made Jaflong attractive. The Indian hills on the other side of the border, the waterfalls flowing uninterruptedly from the Dauki hills, the hanging Dauki Bridge, the crystal clear water of the Piain River, the dense forests on the high hills and the shunshan silence enchant the area. If you don't go to Jaflong on a trip to Sylhet, the trip will remain incomplete.
The beauty of winter and monsoon season is different in Jaflong. In the rainy season, the beauty of Jaflong is reflected in different dimensions. The dust becomes gray and the environment becomes transparent. In a gentle environment, there is a feeling of breathlessness. The wanderings of the cotton-like clouds on the green peaks of the Khasia hills, and the occasional torrential downpours of danger, seem to be a different kind of tremor. At the same time, the view of the white waterfall coming down from a few thousand feet above that catches everyone's eye.
Jaflong appears in another form in winter. All around then the greenery, the deep forest on the top of the hill. As a result, Jaflong can be a suitable place to visit in winter and monsoon. Two rivers have flowed through Jaflong. Dhalai and Piain. This river has brought two uniqueness to Jaflong.
In the clear waters of Dhalai and Piain, small species of small fish roam in groups. Tourists are also fascinated by the sight of thousands of workers lifting stones by diving under the water of the two rivers. This ‘diving game’ of men and women can be seen in the river water from dawn to dusk. The beauty of Jaflong is enhanced by the suspension bridge between the two hills over the Dauki River across the border. Jaflong is like a fairy tale with mountains, water, betel leaves, rocks and fountains.
The lifestyle of the indigenous people has added a different dimension to the beauty of Jaflong. Khasiapunji only after crossing the river. The village of Khasias is called Punji. If you go to these capitals, you can see the houses of specially made Khasias at a height of 3-4 feet. Panbaraj created in every house. The men of the matriarchal Khasia community collect betel leaves from the waste by climbing trees. And sitting in the backyard, the female members fold the betel leaves and fill the cage for sale. Fancy sight of collecting betel leaves and filling cages attracts the attention of tourists. Apart from Panbaraj, orange orchards can be seen in Khasia Palli. The garden trees are bent over the raw-ripe oranges. These are the first flat tea gardens in the country along the road to Sangrampunji.
